Foresight Agents can now prepare full radar updates

Foresight radars are powerful because they help teams see what matters. But the future does not stop moving after a radar is published.

Signals evolve. Technologies mature. Regulations shift. New players emerge. Sometimes a topic moves closer. Sometimes it becomes less relevant. Sometimes an important gap appears where no radar item exists yet.

That is why Foresight Agents can now suggest full updates to existing radars.

What’s new: AI-assisted radar updates

The new radar update capability lets teams take an existing radar and ask Foresight Agents to scan what has changed since it was created or last updated.

The Agent reviews the radar topics, runs a fresh horizon scan accessing 200,000+ vetted source publications, and suggests updates:

  • edits to existing radar items including updated descriptions and analysis and changes to radar positioning
  • new radar items where fresh signals or gaps are found
  • reasoning behind each suggested change or addition

Instead of starting from a blank page, teams can build on what already exists.

How it works

Start with an existing radar, for example one previously built with Foresight Agents. The update run scans around the current radar topics to identify new developments, emerging signals, and changes in relevance.

Because this happens inside FIBRES, the suggested updates stay connected to the radar workflow: existing items, source-backed findings, positioning logic, and the update review all remain in one place.

If you're familiar with how Foresight Agents produce spot-on radars for you, the logic with the updates is the same. You provide the Agents contextual information and guide the research, you get relevant and well-scoped output.

The result is not an automatic overwrite. It is a set of suggestions. Experts stay in control, review the reasoning, accept what makes sense, disgard what doesn't, and keep the radar credible.

Why it matters for foresight teams

A radar that is not updated can quietly become a snapshot of the past. But manually refreshing one can take days or weeks of scanning, comparing, rewriting, and reformatting.

With Foresight Agents, teams can:

  • keep strategic radars current with less manual effort
  • spot what has changed since the last review
  • prepare faster for workshops, steering groups, or planning cycles
  • explain why a topic moved, changed, or appeared
  • maintain living foresight systems instead of static reports

This means more time for interpretation and stakeholder conversations, and less time digging through sources just to find out what changed.

Practical ways to use radar updates

  • Use radar updates before a quarterly strategy review to check whether assumptions still hold.

  • Run an update ahead of an innovation workshop to see which opportunity spaces are gaining momentum.

  • Refresh a technology radar before R&D prioritization to capture new breakthroughs, pilots, or market signals.

  • Review an emerging risk radar before leadership discussions to identify phenomena that may now deserve more attention.

How to get started

The feature is available now in FIBRES for accounts that include Foresight Agents and we're rolling it out to customers starting this week. Update runs use the same quota as radar build-up runs.

When the feature is enabled on your account, go to the radar you wish to update, select Manage > Radar automation, and follow the workflow.
