How to Add Items to the Trend Radar

by Team FIBRES | Apr 22, 2021

The FIBRES Radar is a powerful summary view of Signal Clusters, Trends, and Megatrends in your FIBRES Account. Unlike hand-drawn and manually updated trend radars, the FIBRES Radar updates automatically to reflect changes in your data.triangle_1

How to add items to the Radar

The Radar shows Articles from your FIBRES Account that have been:

Given an Article type of Signal Cluster, Trend, or a Megatrend; and
Assessed for impacts, like impact time, domain, and strength

To bring a new item on to the Radar, you'll want to adjust these settings within an individual Article.

Don't have any items in your FIBRES Account yet?

If you don't have any items in your FIBRES Account yet, the first step is to add your first Articles.

How to add content into FIBRES →

4. Choose Primary Domain of Impact.

Note: the Radar positioning criteria may be different from the above, depending on custom configurations implemented on your FIBRES Account.

✅ The Article has now been added to the Radar! A green bubble will show up on the Radar preview to indicate the Article's new position on the Radar.

How to adjust the position of an existing Article

To change the position of an existing Article, change the selections on Position on Radar.

How to remove an item from the Radar

To remove an existing Article from the Radar, simply change any one of the Position on Radar criteria inside the Article into 'Not Assessed Yet'.

Customizing the Radar (or adding more Radars) for you

The FIBRES Radar can be customized to fit your needs. By default, the FIBRES Radar has the following positioning criteria:

  • Time to Impact: 0-5 years, 5-10 years, 10+ years
  • Impact Strength: Low, Medium, High
  • Primary Domain of Impact: Business Models, Technology

The layout of the Radar - naming and numbering of sectors, timeline axis, etc. - as well as all the related assessment criteria  can be changed to fit your foresight needs.

Also we can set your FIBRES Account up for multiple Radars.

Please book a time with us to discuss the options.
