How to use Collections

Collect content into Collections to outline future scenarios.

What Collections are

Collections are the fifth main content type in FIBRES, in addition to Signals, Signal Clusters, Trends, and Megatrends.

Collections can be used to collect other types of content together. Collections are a premium feature of FIBRES.

How to create a Collection

  1. Click Create.
  2. Select Collection.
  3. Give your Collection a title and click Create.

Adding content into Collections

Content is "added" into Collections with linkages. There are many ways to create linkages in FIBRES, but here's one possible way:

  1. Open your Collection.
  2. Scroll down to Linked Content
  3. Click See all in Network Builder.
  4. Search and filter for content.
  5. Select the Signals, Signal Clusters, Trends, and Megatrends you wish to link to your Collection.
  6. Click Link Selected in the popup bar.

How to use Collections

Collections have versatile use cases in FIBRES. Collections can be used to collect relevant content together for various purposes. They are especially useful for summarizing the combined effects or impacts of several pieces of content.

Here are some ideas for using Collections:

  • Scenarios
  • Future narratives
  • Innovation projects
  • Strategic initiatives

The best practice is to link all relevant data into your Collection and then use the Collection description to write out your scenario, future narrative, or whatever you created the Collection for.
