How to assess your content with Classifications

Use classifications to assess your content with criteria relevant to you.

What are Classifications?

An important part of foresight work is assessing incoming signals and trends. In FIBRES, you can do this with Classifications. Since Classifications are a customizable feature, they are always set up by our team for you.

Once a Classification is set up, it can be found and used in the content template:

  1. Open any Signal, Signal Cluster, Trend, or Megatrend.
  2. Scroll down to your Classifcation.
  3. Select a value or values by clicking the buttons.

Examples of Classifications

Classifications can be customized to your needs. Here are some examples of Classifications we have implemented for our customers:

  • Impacted regions which allows you to assess your content based on which geographical areas it impacts.
  • Phenomenon Certainty which allows you to assess the likelihood of the events taking place that your content describes.
  • Affected Activities which allows you to assess the parts of your organization and processes that your content affects.

Using Classifications as filters

You can use Classifications as filters in Discover, Network, and Radar to see only a selection of your data.

To filter your Radar based on your Classifications:

  1. Navigate to Radar.
  2. Click the filter icon.
  3. Scroll down to your Classifications.
  4. Select the values you want to filter for.

Once you select values, the Radar will show content that matches your filter. Filtered-out content will show up as blurred-out bubbles. To hide filtered-out content completely:

  1. Close the filter menu.
  2. Click the button Hide filtered.
